Bullying

Bullying is a big thing that goes on through primary school to high school. I can say I've experienced it myself so I know what it's like to be bullied and it isn't the best feeling in the world I can tell you that.
If you've been bullied you would know that the bully just picks on any tiny little thing about you so you can feel unwanted and worthless, bullies just do it to make themselves like 'cooler' and because they have nothing better to do, when they actually don't know what it does to the victim, or they might but they couldn't care as long as its making them feel better.

I was bullied from year 7 to year 9 and I can say it wasn't the best years of my life, but as time went on I learnt to ignore it because I've dealt with it for a long period of time and the bullies always picked on the same things, they couldn't have thought of anything else to make it interesting! They just kept saying the same things which made me get used to it and learn to ignore them.
But It wasn't all that easy at one stage during year 8 and some of year 9 the bullying actually got bad and some days I couldn't take it. I would do anything to not see my bullies and I'd try to stay home and fake sick so I got out of going to school and it usually worked. It meant that I got time off school and I stayed home and did my work and assignments that I didn't finish in class because I was being distracted, it also gave me time to think of why the bullies picked on me not someone else, but I'd rather it be me because I wouldn't want them to go through what I went through.

Bullying is such a bad thing, it has different effects on different people because of the way they take it and if they're used to it or not. They somehow know your insecurities like they've done research or something and they know what hurts you and what doesn't, but I guess if they've been doing it for a while they'd be a pro at it. But sometimes they need to stop saying the same thing over and over again its like they're a broken record, they don't get that its pointless and I'm pretty sure you heard them the first time so you don't need to hear it again.
The bullies job is to make you feel worthless, unwanted, not cared about, that everyone hates you when in reality they have nothing to do but to make you feel bad so you feel that way because you aren't worthless, unwanted, not cared about and no one hates you, because if you were why would someone want to talk to a unwanted, worthless person?

What I have learnt from bullying is that you need to forget what everyone thinks about you because it doesn't matter what they think its what you think about yourself, your the one living in your own body. If your happy with yourself don't let others get to you and try and ruin that, you are your own person no one should tell you what your flaws are and aren't, because you look different in everyone's eyes.

"Stay strong" - Demi Lovato
Stay strong is a quote by Demi Lovato that I love because she's an inspiration to me, and to so many other people around the world and she has been bullied, suffered depression and her words actually have true meaning to them. "stay strong" it's simple but it's effective because if you stay strong, you will be able to cope nothing will be able to pull you down.

Changes

Changing friends from primary school to high school can actually be a good thing. It's like starting life all over again, but in this instance it's changing friends and keeping some old ones.
The only bad thing is, is that you might go to a high school where none of your primary school friends go, so you sort of have to make new friends so you have someone to talk to at school, but who said you can't still talk to your primary school friends?
Luckily for me I went to a high school which some of my primary school friends went to, I'm still friends with some of them but mainly two of them, ones just a friend and the other one is a best friend and I'm thankful for her.

When I got into high school I was all about keeping the same friends and being best friends with them until after year 12 but that never happened..... High school has so many changes to do with friends since I started which was year 8 to around about year 9 or 10 I was changing groups, which meant I was nearly friends with everyone in the year but that all changed.
Around the start of year 10 I found out who my friends at school were and who would be my friend till the very end and who will not leave me, and I'm happy to say them people are still with me to this very day.

I'm going to back track a bit and tell you about my friend or should I say best friend that I've had since the start of high school.
Ever since we met on our induction day in year 7 we've been friends, but it mainly started in year 8 when we got to know each other more, and as the years have gone on we've got to know each other better and we are about the same person nearly, we have a lot of things in common, the same problems.... Well sometimes, and sometimes do the same thing.
Like this one time I texted her saying 'mums making popcorn' it's really random I know, but at the time it fitted into what we were talking about, so she texted me back saying 'so is my mum'. To us things like that scare the hell out of us, since that isn't the only time something like that has happened it's happened quiet a few times so we call each other twins. Since I've never had a twin she's the closest person I've had to a twin and I wouldn't swap her for the world. We have been there for each other from the very start, and know each others limits, feeling and all of that stuff.
Changes like that to your friends can be a good change, and change that you are happy that you made, because friends like that don't come around often.

Then there are friends your glad you didn't change from primary school.
Like I've had a best friend since kindy! Yes we've had our up and downs, but that's what has made us friends to this very day. I do wonder what would've happened if we didn't say friends through high school and went out separate ways going into high school and changing friends and not even acknowledging each other. I wonder how different my life would be if we didn't stay friends for this long and continue to stay, would it have changed a lot, or a little, or not even at all? All I can say is I don't plan to get rid of her anytime soon.

There are also them friends you've made that your glad you got a change from away from them because they weren't your typical friend type. But your glad you could witness it so you know for next time what you want your friends to be like and what you don't want your friends to be like. Not everyone's perfect and yes I do know that and accept that, sometimes you need a change of people especially if they don't feel like a friend to you.

Teenage friends or should I say 'fakers'

So my first topic was 'childish friends' referring to my primary school friends. So just to start getting into the whole 'friends' theme. Now I'm going to do a 'high school friends' topic just to get the ball rolling a bit since I told you a little bit if what I thought of primary school friends going into high school I'm actually going to write a story about it. If this seems boring now leave, aha. Because it's not going to get that much interesting but I kindly would like you to stay and keep reading, the choice is yours.

I'm going to start off by telling you what I thought high school was like when I was in primary then get into the friends story.
So up until the end of year 7 I thought high school was something like 'high school musical' or them teenage American shows like 'degrassi the next generation', 'Hannah Montana' shows like that. Until I actually went to do an orientation for high school my high expectations of it went down the drain. High school is not like that at all, let me repeat its not like that. High expectations and thinking I would have fun at school went all down the drain for me.
It actually wasn't all that bad, you still have your locker (half the size), there are still the groups - poplar, nerds, sporty people and all that, classes, class clowns. Nothing isn't that dramatically changed as I have realised over the years but at the end of year 7 I actually thought high school was a living hell.

My first year of high school was alright I guess, just getting used to bigger classes, more people, actually having to move around to get to your class, getting lost once or twice a week because I wasn't used to it. Over all I did fine for a first year.
Friends for that matter are a totally different subject which I will be telling you about. Friends, friends, friends. They can be the best thing in your life or the worst thing in your life. In year 8 you were only really friends with people from your primary school, people in your classes, or if someone knew someone you didn't. So basically you became friends with mostly everyone as the years went on. I decided to stay with my primary school friends and friends I have made in classes then rather bonding with people who I have no clue about or what they could do to me. In year 8 I thought that everyone that I didn't know in my year that looked at me weird wanted to bash me up or something, I've never experienced it before so it was like my guess of what I thought was going to happen. But it never did thank food for that. Year 8 was just a get to know the school and meet people kind of year so nothing important or exciting really happened.

Year 9 "the supposedly best high school year you can have". My bum it was, I hated year 9 and about every little thing about it! I still do going to think about it. It's the year when people split up, go their own ways, decide to be bitches, or all of them. Well that's how I like to explain my year 9 experience.
Long story short, it's when my bullying got worse, I had so many school problems, I failed a lot of tests, broke up with half of my friends, fights, had to change groups and had to become a new me. The whole reason I decided to become a new me by the middle of year 9 is because I was sick of how I was being treated by other people around me, and I was so sick of not being able to fight back, or do something back. The new me was going to be someone who didn't get picked on, went to class, tried my best in school, actually tried to come to school everyday even if I didn't want to face people. Lets say it worked for a while but not to long, because everything went back to the way it was, I was honestly trying my best to be a new me, but year 9 had won the battle but the new me would win in year 10.

Year 10. New year, new me. I was going to win this battle! Everything actually slowly got better believe it or not after that horrid year of year 9. Everything was starting to clear up and look good for me. Yes I had them bad days once in a while, yes I failed tests but it was my own fault, yes I took days off because I didn't want to face people, but it wasn't as much as year 9. I was so happy everything was clearing up for me and becoming better. My whole 'new' person was coming alive and I felt like I was actually achieving something. Even though it wasn't something big or medal worthy to me it was, I set myself a challenge and I went for it and got it. Looking back on year 10 I can say looks like that but going through year 10 didn't feel like that.

Year 11 just started so there's nothing really go say besides its going fine and I'm liking it so far. Good start I reckon, for now....

Childish friends

Primary school friends,
If you think about it, primary school friends were basically anyone that you talked to nearly everyday at school. But as soon as you get to year 6 or 7 everything changes in so many different ways that you don't realise until your actually in high school.
So in kindy to about year 5 friends were like people you talk to like nearly everyday and you liked and could see yourself being friends till high school.
Then when you get to year 6 or 7 you realise what you thought about being friends till high school was a total lie in some cases and you don't believe it anymore.
Year 6 for me was a weird time as it was the split off year and at the end of the year the year 6s will be going to high school and will no longer be in primary school with the rest of us. Year 6 is when people thought that there was going to be the 'popular' and 'unpopular' people. So our close class became separated by these types of groups. And also the whole going into puberty thing was also a case because the bitchiness that came out of people was unreal and bullying also started.
In year 7 our class was about 17 people so it was small and we all decided to become close again, sort of. Well we were closer then year 6 but we were still separated. If someone didn't like you, you heard about it as nothing really stayed a secret in year 7 as everyone was with someone, so there was bullying going on and more bitching because if your friend was friends with someone you didn't like you disowned that friend until they weren't friends with that person anymore.
Now being in high school it seems so stupid that that happened as bullying and bitching shouldn't have happened because of them tiny, stupid things.
But that's what growing up is about, realising where you messed up and learning from it. Like ill learnt from the whole friends things, and your friends can be friends with other people besides yourself as they aren't your property and are their own person and can do what ever they want.
